Rammed-earth construction workshop at the bar Orée 85 in Strasbourg, France
L'Orée 85 is a restaurant-café-bar in Strasbourg with local products and a varied cultural programme. I had the opportunity to participate in the creation of this place by participation in a 2-days workshop.
Construction of a tool shed, wooden cladding and reused beams
We also built the benches using rammed earth technology (from recycled materials and construction rubble)
The workshop was organised by BOMA Alsace - Les BOnnes MAtières - in Strasbourg, as part of the National Architecture Days. This workshop aimed to experiment an alternative construction methods, using abundant and local resources, such as raw earth and rubble.
